Bisopsteignton House, Bishopsteignton

01626 770383

Bishopsteignton House was built in 1840 and is today a beautifully restored Victorian villa overlooking the Teign Estuary. The village of Bishopsteignton is two miles from the popular seaside resort of Teignmouth, not far from the wilds of Dartmoor.

The house sits in its own magnificent and mature grounds that are easily accessible and a delight for all to stroll in or just to sit and admire the fantastic views.

The entrance to the house is through a stunning Victorian conservatory that is filled with plants and comfortable chairs, making it an excellent area in which to relax, whilst taking in the fabulous garden and estuary views. The rest of the house has been sympathetically restored, keeping many of the original mouldings and fireplaces.

The home now provides a variety of exclusive accommodation for 27 residents, consisting of 25 single bedrooms and one shared room. Two of the bedrooms have large doors opening onto their own private patio areas and offer views across the Teign estuary and rolling countryside.

A wonderful aspect of Bishopsteignton House is the lantern sunlit reception area where many of our residents like to gather for morning coffee, to chat and to read the newspapers.

“A very caring environment, staff always at hand to assist, giving great care and compassion to the residents. Since my mother has been at Bishopsteignton House all her needs have been met even when they are all extremely busy.” Nigel
